If your school is rostered, your district takes care of your student and teacher accounts for you. You will not be able to add students to your class manually. See How can I tell if my school is rostered and what does that mean? for more information.
If your school is not rostered, there are two ways to add students to your class - Searching and Invitation Codes.
If your students used ST Math last year at the same school, you can enter their names and the program will find them.
If your students are new to ST Math or used it in another school, they can easily be added to your class using an Invitation Code.
To search for students and add them to your class:
- Open the class
- Select "Actions" > "Add Students"
- Select "Other Ways to Add Students"
- Type in your student's names one at a time.
- Click on a student to add them to your class.
- Once all students have been entered, click "Add to class" to finish.
This tool will only find students who have used ST Math at your school before. If the student has not used ST Math before, or went to a different school, use the Invitation Code method below.
To invite students to your class:
- Open the class
- Select "Actions"
- Select "Add Students"
- Select "Create Invitation Code"
- Give the Invitation Code to your students.
Your students can use the code by going to play.stmath.com, selecting "Invitation Code" and entering the code you gave them. If they know their picture password, they can enter it now to link their existing account to your class. If they don't know or don't have a picture password, they can click "Create New Account" to enter their name, and get trained on a new picture password.
Invitation codes expire after 72 hours. If the invitation code expires, you can always create a new one!
If you need to retrain a student on their password, see How can I retrain a student on their picture password? or How can I see a student's picture password?
