This article is for districts that utilize one of our rostering solutions; that is, your district creates classes and adds new students directly from your Student Information System (SIS) and uploads to ST Math through files submitted or through an application like ClassLink or Clever.
SIS Managed Classes
When a district provides ST Math with data directly from their Student Information System through rostering, ST Math creates class rosters, new student accounts, and new staff accounts based on the data provided. Student and staff accounts are removed when they are no longer shared through rostering. We refer to these classes as SIS Managed Classes.
Teachers can:
Teachers cannot:
- Add new students (new students are created based on the data provided through roster uploads)
- Delete students (students must be removed through roster uploads)
Staff Managed Classes
Teachers in a rostered district can make additional classes. We refer to these classes as Staff Managed Classes and are labeled underneath the teacher's/class name.
Teachers can:
- Create additional classes as needed.
- Add existing ST Math students from anywhere in the district.
- Make changes to students’ grade level Journey.
- Make class and individual assignments.
- Remove Students from their class.
Teachers cannot:
- Add new students. New students are created based on the data provided through roster uploads.
