When do students take quizzes?
Quizzes are offered to students before and after each objective in grades 2-8. These are short, multiple-choice quizzes designed to capture a snapshot of the learner's current understanding. Students take these automatically at the beginning and end of each objective. Students only take the quiz the first time they play an objective. Students will know they are about to begin a quiz when they come to a hut at the beginning and end of their Objective island. |
Quiz Preparation
Students should feel free to use scratch paper during quizzes. Use of additional resources like calculators or hundreds charts is not recommended for quizzes, but it is at the teacher’s discretion to use them (knowing the effect they might have on the results). |
Change Quiz Language
Teachers can choose to change the quiz language at the class level or individual student level. See How do I change a students quiz language?
