The data trackers are designed to support monitoring, student accountability, and writing in math. When students are mindful of their data, they are able to see their progress, reflect on their learning, and work with their teacher to set and track appropriate goals. These tools serve that purpose. They also allow teachers to engage students in rich discussions around their data while promoting mathematics concepts and providing opportunities for writing in mathematics.
See the Guide for Data, Goal Setting, & Math Conversations for more information on setting goals.
