To add or remove students from ST Math, it is important to download the most recent roster file and make additions/deletions rather than starting with a blank template. This helps ensure that current students keep their same accounts and account information (IDs, usernames, passwords). Only students in the file will have access to ST Math, so ensure that the file contains all students. If you upload a file that only contains students you are adding and not the students already uploaded, you will remove the students not listed on the file.
- Log into your ST Math district super administrator account.
- Go to the District Settings tab > Student Roster.
- Click "Download" to download the most recently processed file. This should ensure that you aren't changing IDs or making other changes that will result in duplicate accounts or remove the accounts you already have.
- Make any changes you need to the file.
- Students added to the file will be added to ST Math. Students removed from the file will be removed from ST Math.
- Existing Students removed from ST Math can be added to the file again to regain access to ST Math but would need to be imported into a class again. As long as their student ID does not change, progress from the school year would be retained.
- Save the updated .csv file to your computer.
- Drag and drop or click the Browse button to upload your file into ST Math.
- Slick Scan to begin the upload. Scanning can take a few minutes.
- Look at the feedback after scanning the file. The summary will show what the results of the file upload would be.
- If there are errors, click "Download Warnings Report" to see errors. If there are numerous errors, they may not all be listed. Some errors may keep the file from being processed. You can use"Download Change Log" to see exactly which students will be affected.
- If the errors don't reflect changes you wish to import, click "Cancel" and try again.
- Correct any errors and try again.
- Once everything looks acceptable, click "Import Changes" to complete the import.
- Click Home to return to the main page.
Students should be available to import immediately but will not show under the district Students tab for up to 24 hours.
