There are many good reasons for moving from one method of account provisioning to another in ST Math. Districts that are considering a transition should consider the following advantages and tradeoffs. Keep in mind the following:
-
The transition process takes approximately 3 weeks. Students cannot start using ST Math until setup is complete, so it is important that the process begin early and is contingent upon the district sharing new school year data.
-
Teachers and students may need information/training on new sign in procedures.
-
If new accounts are created for students in the new roster type, historical data should be available for students if the old and new accounts can be matched on student ID. If that is not the case, account historical data will not be available in the new account.
After considering the advantages and tradeoffs for a transition to a different provisioning option, a Regional Implementation Manager will assist with the logistics and creation of a communication plan to ensure a successful transition for all users.
