Staff accounts can be managed two ways in ST Math: Auto-Rostered or Manually.
Auto-Rostered accounts are added and removed based on the sync of data from the district rostering system. ST Math looks for new data every night, so it can take up to 24 hours for those changes to occur as changes to the data shared by the district syncs or is uploaded to ST Math and processed.
Manually created accounts are created in ST Math directly. Accounts created this way sign into ST Math directly at play.stmath.com. Single-Sign-On systems (such as Clever or ClassLink) will not recognize manually created accounts as accounts that aren't shared through the SSO will not be able to sign in through the SSO.
Manually created accounts are great for staff who may not appear in your Student Information System for any reason, like long-term substitute teachers.
Staff accounts can be switched between being manually or auto-rostered at any time. If the account was manually created but now needs to be managed automatically by district rostering or vice versa, it can be updated by clicking on the gear icon to the right of the staff email.
Then select and click on the "Managed" dropdown menu to change how the account is managed.
