Challenge Objectives are intended for students that have finished their path. The puzzles in Challenge are difficult, and the primary goal of Challenge is to foster problem-solving rather than teach math concepts.
After students complete their Journey, they will have the choice to begin the Challenge pathway. The Challenge games are a rigorous exercise in students’ multi-step visualization skills designed to promote persistence and internal motivation. Students may take many sessions working on one puzzle, but they can succeed.
Students who need an additional challenge during the school year can also be assigned the Challenge Objectives. This will allow them to continue working in the grade-level Journey while increasing their problem-solving skills and perseverance.
